Feeling Crafty - a miracle!

Over the last couple of weeks I have felt a little crafty. David and I have been cleaning house and I moved recently out of my craft room. I guess to spend a little time with David. I am set up at the dining room table (our dining room is in the living room). Anyhow, so my recent obsessions are pineapples, flamingos and Ernest Hemingway. I cannot get enough of him. I am listening to The Sun Also Rises and currently (while typing this) I am watching Midnight in Paris and my kitty, Purrsia, is cuddled up next to me.

So first off I am working on a painting,

I just have a background down right now, but eventually it will have Liza Minnelli from Cabaret on the top of this:

Then I started working  on an Embroidery Board from Target

Hand Made Modern - Embroidery Board 10x10

I designed some cross stitching while on break at work and then I went home and did this (also, a work in progress, it's not quite done yet, I ran out of pink for the legs of the flamingos!):

And then I have been working on shaker cards. The first one I made was a little ... erm.. plain. I feel like It's missing something.

Then I really wanted to have pineapples and flamingos!

First attempt for water color:

Mega dislike! I was using distress ink pads, but they weren't the colors I needed. So I dug around for my watercolors and created a cute background (sorry I don't have a photo of the first card, I am hoping my friend Lameka will post it when she gets it tomorrow).

And then the second card was this, which I made 10 of for a shaker card exchange:

I even used my button maker and made FLAIR!

And then I used the same "new" water color (remember I don't have a photo of that card?, this is the same background) and I made this, using Reverse Confetti's Fabulous Flamingos and Pineapples Aplenty:

I made flair using My Favorite Things Pineapple background stamp, and Studio Calico's Aloha stamp set
